About CRAT

Our Mission

We offer a clear and comprehensive perspective on the Haitian context through a neutral and impartial lens. We conduct primary and secondary research to produce high-quality reports and analyses focused on politics, governance, security, the economy, society, as well as regional dynamics and NEXUS. We support the design, development, and implementation of strategies and interventions aligned with on-the-ground information and established priorities.

CRAT provides contextual research and analysis that form a central component of localized, sustainable, and inclusive programs. We provide partners with the tools needed to take their understanding of their operational environment to the next level, adopt a conflict-sensitive and human rights-based approach to mitigate risks and negative impacts, and engage local actors in the implementation of programs that build resilience and reduce vulnerability.

CRAT offers services designed to:

Identify—without seeking to influence them—local stakeholders, relationships, and interests

Analyze political, economic, social, and security dynamics and trends in the broadest sense

Support local networks and experts in mapping and interpreting the local human context

Synthesize and analyze local data to inform both programmatic and strategic decision-making and to increase the impact of humanitarian, development, stabilization, and peacekeeping initiatives.

Develop, propose, and assist in the implementation of operational, strategic, and advocacy approaches tailored to the context and aligned with the strategic requirements and priority areas identified by partners and donors.
